SERVICE PACKAGE FOR PIG FARMS

In order to increase the effectiveness of animal feeding and help experts in charge of the farms, we offer the following service package for on-farm feeding, free of charge (with two exceptions).

FULL LABORATORY SERVICES 
Full testing of feed rations, analysis and evaluation of complete feed samples by an accredited chemical and microbiological laboratory. Priority focus is given to checking the microbiological and toxicological status of feeds and continuously controlling raw materials. This service is provided by our regional consultant.   

EXPERT ADVICE, FARM ADAPTATIONS, PREPARATION AND MAINTENANCE OF FEED FORMULAS, FARM AUDIT WITH FULL ASSESSMENT 
Preparing farm-specific formulas, when required, providing unique, specially adapted products. Continuous control by a sector specialist, regular consultations with professionals in charge of the farms. Control programme (analyses, tests, evaluation of production parameters, etc.) with the involvement of a regional consultant.

ANIMAL HEALTH SERVICES
Vitafort Zrt. lays particular emphasis on achieving a stable state of health on farms. To this end, we prepare, maintain, oversee, and advise on vaccination and medication programmes with the help of our veterinarian or, when necessary, conduct special tests with the involvement of external veterinary specialists. Our services also include regular farm visits, and communication with the competent authorities. Apart from vets, we also rely on the expertise of our sector specialist.

ANIMAL HYGIENE AND HUSBANDRY TECHNOLOGY ADVICE 
In accordance with the agreement signed with the University of Veterinary Medicine, when necessary, special tests are conducted using external veterinary specialists in the event of animal health or hygiene problems.

DISINFECTION EFFICIENCY TESTING /FEE-BASED/ 
Swab tests to establish microbiological infection, determine the efficiency of disinfection and provide hygiene and disinfection advice with the help of our Microlab and SPF Microbiological Laboratory.

REPRODUCTIVE BIOLOGY SERVICES 
On-farm assessment of the reproductive state of herds, launching and overseeing programmes, and conducting regular ultrasound pregnancy detection and sperm tests, led by Vitafort Zrt.’s specialists. Special feeds for breeding animals and farm-specific adaptation of animal feeds. Genetic consultancy. Measuring back fat thickness with a special instrument – deciding on inclusion in the breeding programme. 

MEASUREMENTS FOR GRANT APPLICATIONS FOR ANIMAL WELFARE COMMITMENTS
Carried out by a sector specialist.

METABOLIC TESTING OF SOWS
Testing for micro-elements and metabolic parameters in blood samples, with recommendations by an external expert when necessary. 

ENERGY RESERVE TESTING OF SOWS
Periodical checks on the herd by the ultrasound measurement of the back fat thickness, followed by the evaluation of the results and potential recommendations for any modifications.       

AIR QUALITY TESTING
Measuring air pollution and ammonia levels in the buildings where the animals are kept.
